How to install presets in Lightroom Classic

Install your XMP presets in Lightroom Classic on Mac or Windows.

Step-by-step

    Open Lightroom Classic.

    Switch to the Develop module (press D).

  3. 3

    Open the Presets panel on the left.

  4. 4

    Right-click inside the Presets panel.

  5. 5

    Choose Import Presets.

  6. 6

    Select the XMP files from your unzipped folder and click Import.

  7. 7

    Your presets will appear in the User Presets group.

Helpful tip

Update Lightroom Classic before installing — older versions only support .lrtemplate, not XMP.
