How to correct exposure before applying a LUT

Balanced footage gives you the best LUT results.

   Adjust exposure so highlights are not blown out.

   Adjust shadows so detail is visible.

   Set white balance using a color picker on a neutral area.

   Then apply the LUT — the result will look more natural.
