Troubleshooting
Why do my DNG files look blank or grey?
A blank or grey DNG is normal — here's how to use it to install your preset anyway.

Guide
Step-by-step
- 1
DNG preset files contain edit settings, not real photos.
- 2
It is normal for them to look grey, blank, or like a small thumbnail.
- 3
Open the DNG inside Lightroom Mobile.
- 4
Tap the three-dot menu and choose Create Preset to save the look.
- 5
After saving, you can apply that preset to your own real photos.
Helpful tip
Do not try to export or share the DNG file as a photo — only use it to create the preset.
