How to update Lightroom Classic before installing presets

Open the Adobe Creative Cloud app.

Find Lightroom Classic in the apps list.

Click Update if an update is available.

Wait for the update to finish, then reopen Lightroom Classic.

Try the preset import again.
Helpful tip
Aim to be on Lightroom Classic version 7.3 or newer for full XMP support.
