Lightroom says file type is not supported

This means you tried to import the wrong file for your version of Lightroom.

Step-by-step

   If you see this on Lightroom Mobile, update the app — older versions cannot read ZIP or XMP presets.

   If you see this on Lightroom Desktop or Classic, your version may be too old for XMP — update Lightroom.

   On desktop, confirm the files are unzipped, not still inside a ZIP. On mobile, import the ZIP directly.

   Try importing one file at a time to identify the problem file.
