Lightroom says file type is not supported

This means you tried to import the wrong file for your version of Lightroom.

   If you see this on Lightroom Mobile, you tried to import an XMP — use the DNG files instead.

   If you see this on Lightroom Desktop or Classic, your version may be too old for XMP — update Lightroom.

   Confirm the files are unzipped, not still inside a ZIP.

   Try importing one file at a time to identify the problem file.
