How to sync presets between Lightroom Desktop and Mobile

One Adobe account, presets everywhere — works with both Lightroom (cloud) and Lightroom Classic.

Step-by-step

  1. 1

Sign in to Lightroom (cloud) or Lightroom Classic with your Adobe ID.

  2. 2

Install your XMP presets on your desktop app.

  3. 3

In Lightroom (cloud): make sure the cloud icon at the top-right is syncing (not paused).

  4. 4

In Lightroom Classic: open Preferences → Presets and enable Sync Cloud Presets, then start sync from the identity plate at the top-left.

  5. 5

Open Lightroom Mobile and sign in with the same Adobe ID.

  6. 6

Wait a few minutes — your presets appear under Yours in the Presets panel.

Helpful tip

Cloud preset sync requires a paid Adobe plan on at least one device. Once a paid device (Lightroom cloud or Classic with Sync Cloud Presets on) pushes your presets to your Adobe account, the free Lightroom Mobile app signed into the same Adobe ID can view and apply them — but the free mobile app can't originate cloud sync on its own.

Common mistake

Signing in with two different Adobe IDs across devices is the #1 reason sync silently fails. Confirm the email at the top of every app matches.
